Reviews:
It was an interesting look at Puerto Rican culture from the eyes of teenagers. It was slightly confusing that each chapter was a different teenager's perspective but by the middle of the book I learned to just go with it. I am sad that the first person's story was not continued after the first chapter 9 Bad Influence). The beauty of this book is found in its realism. You won't find any fairy tale endings for the characters, just the steady continuation of their lives as they confront issues of love, friendship, and family.
